Gastrointestinal Clinics

  • Case presentation is one of the most important learning and teaching activities since the age-old days
  • For the first time APDW is conducting the GI clinics (on rare and interesting cases with initial diagnostic dilemmas)
  • Such sessions are important in advancing scientific knowledge of rare and not so rare diseases
  • It will be held on 15th December 2019
  • Unusual or challenging cases and those with initial diagnostic dilemma in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology will be selected for presentation


General Information

  • PPT (slides) must be submitted online
  • The text font should be in Arial / Times New Roman
  • Total no of slides- minimum 10 and maximum 15
  • Summarize the case as it evolved
  • Selection is done by blinded, peer-review process
  • Only six interesting and/or outstanding presentations will be selected


GI Clinics Requirements

  • Do not disclose any patient identification information, physician names, medical record numbers, etc.
  • No presentation may contain any advertising, corporate logo, trade name, or product-group message of commercial interest
  • It should not contain any copyrighted information (images, videos, photos, etc.) without written consent from the original source of the copyrighted work.


Oral Presentation at the GI Clinics

  • Presenting authors MUST register for the APDW 2019 by 31st August 2019
  • Read the instructions carefully and upload the PPT
  • Accepted presentations will be communicated to the author by 31st July 2019
  • Time limit – 5 minutes for presentation plus 5 minutes for discussion with audience
  • Abstract submission period for GI clinics ends on 15th July 2019
  • Interesting selected cases will be rewarded
